Mendota Elementary #289 is pleased to announce that all students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch each school day through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. The program was set to expire in 2027 but we have been able to extend our participation through 2030.
This means that for the upcoming school year and for years to come, our kids will eat breakfast and lunch at no cost. Families do not need to complete any additional forms or take any special action to participate. Simply send your children to school, where they will have access to breakfast and lunch at no cost each school day.
Access to nutritious meals supports student health, learning, and academic success. By providing breakfast and lunch at no cost, Mendota Elementary #289 can help ensure students begin and continue through each day ready to learn and thrive. All meals will meet USDA nutrition standards for healthy school meals.
Parents or guardians who need further information may contact Carrie Delhotel, Food Service Director at cdelho@m289.org.
