K-5: Our classrooms from kindergarten through fifth grade utilize a math series by HMH called Go Math. The program focuses on understanding, the ability to solve math problems accurately and fluidly, and utilizing math in real-life situations. Student lessons focus on an essential question that sets the stage for each lesson's topic. Students work on strategies and concepts to understand and work through visual representations, mathematical models, and different student explorations. Problem solving is practiced daily through lessons and as the problems become more difficult there is support to show students how to go from specific-strategy practice to a mixed-strategy approach. Essentially, students will learn both math concepts and how think about math more critically.

6-8 : Our classrooms use a series called HMH's Into Math. Into Math builds on the concepts established in the Go Math series to connect it to the middle school curriculum. Into Math includes opportunities for whole-group, small-group, and partner work that encourages collaboration and real mathematical discussion. The series allows for differentiation for all learns based on their unique skills and needs and integrates digital and print resources to enhance student learning.
