Solar Panels are HERE! February 29, 2024
After months of waiting and supply chain issues, we have solar panels at Mendota Elementary! Installation at Lincoln is nearly completed, has started at Blackstone, and will soon begin at Northbrook.
The installation process should not cause many (if any) traffic issues around the buildings.
Once the panels are up and running, we will have a ribbon cutting to celebrate this wonderful, environmentally friendly project.
In the warmer months, when our air conditioners are at full power, our solar panels will be providing most (and often all) of the electricity that we need to keep everyone cool.
We estimate that this project will pay for itself in four years and save the District hundreds of thousands of dollars over the next two decades.

¡Los paneles solares están AQUÍ! 29 de febrero de 2024
Después de meses de espera y problemas con la cadena de suministro, ¡tenemos paneles solares en la Primaria Mendota! La instalación en Lincoln está casi terminada, comenzó en Blackstone y pronto comenzará en Northbrook.
El proceso de instalación no debería causar muchos (si es que hay alguno) problemas de tráfico alrededor de los edificios.
Una vez que los paneles estén en funcionamiento, cortaremos el listón para celebrar este maravilloso proyecto respetuoso con el medio ambiente.
En los meses más cálidos, cuando nuestros aires acondicionados están a máxima potencia, nuestros paneles solares proporcionarán la mayor parte (y a menudo toda) de la electricidad que necesitamos para mantener a todos frescos.
Estimamos que este proyecto se amortizará solo en cuatro años y le ahorrará al Distrito cientos de miles de dólares durante las próximas dos décadas.
