This Sunday from 2-4pm there will be a showing of a 30-minute documentary movie that tells the story of five people who moved from Mexico in the 1970s to make new lives in Mendota.
The event is FREE and includes viewing the documentary, snacks, and entertainment. It is Sunday, September 7th, from 2-4 pm at the Diaz Banquet Hall at 1314 Meriden St.
There is also an exhibit occurring at the Mendota Museum and Historical Society by the same name featuring oral history interviews, the documentary film, and exhibit featuring photos and objects on loan from members of the community. The exhibit will run until the end of October.
