Upcoming Local Property Tax Levy December 8, 2022
Next week, the School Board will be approving the local property tax levy for next year. This will be the tax rate that you will see on the Elementary School portion of your tax bill.
Last year, our tax rate was $2.69, and the anticipated tax rate for next year will also be $2.69.
The confusing part of the conversation is that our tax revenue will be increasing by an estimated 10.9% from $6.658M to $7.379M. This is because the total property value of the District is set to increase from $246M to $273M, which is an increase of 10.9%. Some of this increase is due to the normal growth in property values, and the rest comes from a large City TIF rolling back onto our tax rolls.
Again, we are anticipating no increase in our local property tax rate.

Próxima recaudación de impuestos locales de propiedades 8 de diciembre de 2022
La próxima semana, la Junta Escolar aprobará el impuesto local a la propiedad para el próximo año. Esta será la tasa de impuestos que verá en la parte de la escuela primaria de su factura de impuestos.
El año pasado, nuestra tasa impositiva fue de $2.69 y la tasa impositiva anticipada para el próximo año también será de $2.69.
La parte confusa de la conversación es que nuestros ingresos fiscales aumentarán aproximadamente un 10.9 %, de $6.658 millones a $7.379 millones. Esto se debe a que el valor total de la propiedad del Distrito aumentará de $246 millones a $273 millones, lo que representa un aumento del 10.9 %. Parte de este aumento se debe al crecimiento normal de los valores de las propiedades, y el resto proviene de un TIF grade de ciudad que se reincorpora a nuestras listas de impuestos.
Una vez más, no anticipamos ningún aumento en nuestra tasa de impuestos locales sobre la propiedad.
