Northbrook's 6th grade ESL students had a great time with our Pre-K students last week! The 6th grade students spent time reading books in both English and Spanish to our bilingual preschoolers. What an amazing learning opportunity for everyone!

Due to impending weather track practice is cancelled for today
Mr. Zoelzer's Enrichment class took part in an egg drop experiment today! They created protective structures for their eggs and tested their durability by dropping them from the bleachers in the big gym. Students were able to learn about physics concepts in a fun and hands-on way!
Northbrook students ended the week with the T2 Spartan SMART assembly! From a paper airplane challenge to a competitive game of Sharks and Minnows, students and staff had a blast! The assembly wrapped up with an intense game of Staff vs. Students Dodgeball. The top two teams from the Spartan SMART Dodgeball Tournament held in February had their chance to take on eleven Northbrook staff members. Even though it was a close game, the staff walked away with the win! What an amazing way to end a great week!

The 2025 Northbrook Track season kicked off this week! The team started off with running the halls, competing against each other during the Girls vs. Boys relay, and participating one of their favorite drills called "Sweatshirts." We are looking forward to an exciting season! Go Spartans!

Today, a group of individuals dove into an exciting event—the Polar Plunge! They braved the cold temperatures to raise over $2000 for Special Olympics. Team Lions, Spartans, and Bears, Oh my! was made up of Tom Slater and his son Gabriel, Eli Medina, Alicia Foster and her son Trevor Carlson, and Danielle Buettner and her daughter Abby. We are proud of all of you for taking the plunge for a great cause!
There will be no After School Program on February 18 or February 20 for all Mendota Elementary Schools. The program will resume on February 25.
The second trimester ends February 28, 2025! We encourage parents to attend Parent /Teacher Conferences next week!
